Deforestation results to massive ecological problems caused by clearing vegetation cover insignificant levels. Deforestation comes in a picture of the earth without forests that no human being wants to imagine thereby creating an ax. High Poverty levels are the main reason behind forest clearance. Others include an increase in population and high commercialization. Earth without forests is a picture no human wants to imagine but regularly creates with an ax. Some of the reasons behind deforestation are high poverty levels, the increase in population and commercial activities. This process has some massive negative impacts on the environment. Deforestation affects the carbon cycle. This is also known as the greenhouse effect and global warming, which is majorly caused by depleting tropical forests (Goudie, 2018). Deforestation also disrupts the hydrological cycle of the earth, as the rain contents and general atmospheric moisture is much affected. Cutting down of trees has led to a great reduction in the species diversity, both in plants, which are cut down and animals that get extinct due to the harsh environmental conditions (Goudie, 2018).

In the earth functionality structure, carbon dioxide plays both a positive and negative effect. The carbon cycle is the combined environmental process that includes the photosynthesis process by plants, decomposition of dead matter and respiration, in which carbon circulates between the earth atmosphere, water bodies, and organisms. The carbon cycle brings out a balance that facilitates natural life. Beneficial impacts are obtained when the atmosphere is the right amount of carbon. Cutting down of trees reduces process such as photosynthesis and respiration, which can move amounts of carbon in the atmosphere. An increase in the carbon levels in the atmosphere leads to large amounts of heat absorption that generally increase the earth’s temperatures. This condition is called global warming.

Global warming has some adverse effects on the environment. These incorporate in the water levels in the seas, because of the dissolving of the ice sheets, in the climate designs. An adjustment in precipitation in a few territories, extraordinary climate conditions like the tropical violent tropical winds, exceptional dry spells, warm waves in a few sections of the world, an expansion in sea temperatures in this way decrease in carbon retention from the air. Some of the extreme conditions include wildfires in California, hurricanes in Japan, and do not favor vegetation and living creatures in any way. Charles, the ruler of grains, expressed that ‘the world’s timberlands should be seen for what they are, monster worldwide utilities, giving necessary open administrations to humankind on a vast scale, they store carbon, or, in other words, the environment on consuming, increasing global warming” (Trenberth, 2014).

The hydrological cycle articulates clearly that water is life. The hydrological cycle is the continuous water movement in the earth’s atmosphere and the earth’s surface. The water amounts remain at close, constant levels over a period. Surface runoff, evaporation; condensation, subsurface flows, etc. The methods collectively depend on water levels through temperature changes and utilization by trees. Deforestation affects the hydrological cycle in several ways. Cutting trees down prompts an expansion in the carbon sums in the environment that causes dangerous global warming. An increase in the temperatures prompts unfavorable climate conditions like the ice sheets softening and extraordinary tropical tornados, strong downpours that reason flooding and an increment in water levels in seas. Deforestation prompts introduction of the earth surface, which are prone to soil erosion, as the soil does not have a barrier to its flow. Soil erosion has its adversities; loss of habitat, reduced agricultural activity, loss in biodiversity and loss of the beauty of life. Introduction of the ground with fewer trees prompt expansion in dissipation from the surface leaves the water mass uncovered and dry and an increasing reduction in downpours over some undefined time frame.A reduction in the number of rains got in a specific zone slowly changes the artesian level of water. Natural living and existence are affected by diminishing water on the earth’s surface. It affects agricultural activities and plant growth, brings about desert encroachments like the Somali regions, loss of animal life that depends on the soils as a habitat (Smith, 2014). Other effects of a change in the hydrological cycle are the changes in the weather and climate patterns of a place, which leads to alteration of water body’s levels (Smith, 2014).

Having a balance in variations between the plants and animals defines and beautifier’s life. D. Suzuki Cleary stated that pollution destroys air that keeps us living thus destroying biodiversity. “Continued deforestation leads to a reduction in the biodiversity of species. As trees are cut down, some species, which only grow in particular place on the earth surface, significantly reduce in number, and some get extinct, due to the constant cut down, a reduction in the forest covers makes some animals that wholly depend on them to find it difficult to survive. The animals lose their habitats, and some species are greatly reduced in number and some even become extinct. Some of the extinct animals and plants caused by changes in climatic conditions include St Helena Redwood in the south Atlantic, the Flabellidium Spinosum, Lachanodes Arbores, and Hawaiian crow. As David Suzuki states, every plant and animal deserve to live, but encroachments deny these animals a habitat to life. Since the early days, diversity in nature has always been an important part of human life, and the extinction of these plants and animals takes away an essential component in the natural co-existence of humankind and nature. The loss of biodiversity may not have a direct effect on humankind. The indirect effects of losing and extinction of these species as well as the ecosystem diversity, in general, are enormous in nature.

In conclusion, deforestation comes with its extreme negativity. Extreme weather conditions have massively affected daily human lives and even death, misplacements, and extreme health conditions and a change in life cycles in both plant and animals. Deforestation has led to the loss of life beauty and a complete environmental set up that is eco-friendly. To curb this menace, humankind needs to embark several steps. These include zero deforestation, supporting and planting trees, respecting the indigenous people’s rights, who depend on the forests as their homes, which would reduce on encroachments, adopting a cut one plant two policy, changing government approaches to the environment and stop politicking matters environment and controlling carbon emissions to the environment. As Aton Pavlovich Chekhov states, “a tree is beautiful, but what’s more, it has a right to life, like water, the sun, and the stars, it is essential. We cannot bear with life on earth without trees. Forests create the climate which impacts on people character and many more traits, there can neither be happiness if forests fall under the ax, if the climate is harsh “saving the trees is our sole responsibility for our future generations and a better world of tomorrow, and it should start with planting a tree(Aton Pavlovich Chekhov).
