Using 100 words or more, please respond to the following post relating to using the code of conduct in the workplace
It’s interesting that you mentioned that in your company they have you sign the code of conduct. On the one hand this seems like a strong move toward fostering compliance. On the hand I find it a bit interesting. If I were to hire an employee and have them sign a contract, to me that means they agree to work for me. That should be intrinsically intertwined with them agreeing to follow my code of conduct. It is actually more important that they follow the code than the terms of employment. Isn’t signing a separate paper a statement that the code is an afterthought, secondary to the terms of employment?
