Article Summary

Here is what I want: A good summary of each article. I want to know you have actually read each one. This is worth 10 points each (so 20 of the 50 total points available)

Then tell me – is the article scholarly? Why or why not? What criteria of a scholarly does it meet or what is it lacking. Would you use this article for a college paper – if so, in what capacity? Would it serve for good background information (if so, why do you do believe this to be so), or would it serve better to inform you for the “meat” of the paper you are writing (why?). Remember the information on Evaluating Information as well as the discussions on parts of a scholarly article. This is worth 10 points for each. (Now we are up to 40 of the 50 points)

Imagine a scenario in which each article might best inform your audience. Basically, when would each article be appropriate as a main source of information? Who would you be talking to? What would your topic for the presentation be? Is it an overview? Or is it discussing your research? Defend your choice for each. This is worth 5 points for each article (And that’s the total 50 points available).

Consider this a short essay for class: 1-2 pages.
